The kind you get from the supermarket. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
:x
I like to eat peaches, nectarines, plumbs and apricots when they are juicy (and run down my chin  ).

These ripen at home fruits are hard and dont ripen at home at all. The stay rock solid then go off. The only decent fruit I have eaten recently are either from Marks and Spencer or from the market near where I work (but now I'm on maternity leave) both are too far away. I went to another market and felt the fruit which were hard. I asked if he had any ripe fruit but it was too ripe and rotting.

Ive tried keeping them with ripe bananas but they just rot at a faster rate.

Any ideas please

Lower your standards?

Only joking hun, I cant really suggest anything cos Im not much of a fruit person

I had some oranges recently which just stayed hard and then like rotted and moulded.. and also some pears from the co-op that were dead after 2 days  I'll be going to the fruit shop again from now on, argh.

I've seen some ripened fruits in Tesco and Waitrose. They're usually in a lot more packaging and cost a lot more too.
