Hi all,

I am due to return to work at the end of April, and I have requested 3 days at work, rather than my usual 5 - it is being taken to the big boss lady at the moment. My boss has already said that they do need a full time person in the position so would be looking at a job share.

Do you think it would help smooth the way if I let my boss know that I will be trying for another baby at some point so I would be looking to leave my job a year to 18 months after I returned? Surely someone job sharing in that situation would be a God-sent to them when it came to me leaving? Or should I just keep my mouth shut and see what happens?

I work for the NHS btw, so I doubt I would be "got rid of" for providing this information..

Thanks in advance :)

I would personally keep my mouth shut and play it by ear.
I think by law they have to take your request to work part time seriously without you
having to tell them about future baby plans.
Good luck x

Personally I would just keep it to yourself . Xxx

I wouldn't mention it, firstly because things don't always go to plan, so you may find yourself there longer than you had intended. It may also jepordise your part time application, as they might be less willing to accomodate somone who isn't planning on being there for the long run.
