I had a car accident in December, a car hit the back of me when I was sattionary and caused me to go into the back of another, who then went into the back of another. I was luckily ok, apart from whiplash, and Seren was fine apart from shock. I was 7 months pregnant at the time but Cally was well protected and just spent the 20 mins of monitoring kicking the crap out of the belt. However it was very traumatic for me, I had to be satrapped to a board as my neck hurt and I get claustrophobic so that really scared me, my christmas was affectred as I was in pain, I struggled to do any christmas shopping, Seren's birthday was affected as I couldn't really lift her, and we had a day out and I just hurt :( Then the insurance has been a nightmare, I was driving OH's car (the decent one out of the two of the cars) which was written off but I was only covered 3rd party so we have had to get legal representation and it still hasn't been sorted. However I got a letter today from the police saying the silly cow who ran into the back of me has been charged with driving without due care and attention, which I am really happy with as she hit me on a straight piece of road and she could have seen me easily. Apparently she was speeding and had spotted me too late and wasn't able to brake in time. The interesting thing is the person who I hit was done with driving other than in accordance with a driving licence and no MOT - bet she was well peed off when my car hit hers :rotfl:

sadly I can't go into the court as I have both kids but I will be kept updated on the result.

YAY thats great news, I know how much it has affected you, I hope you get decent compensation.

If you did want to go to court I'm sure I could have Seren. Do they let you take babies if you are BFing?

Result!!

We have had a similar thing, although we were not in the cra at the time as it was parked outside our house, but some idiot kids were drunk driving and tore around the cormer hitting our car. They fled the scene to avoid being breathalised, leaving their wrecked car, and then the driver handed himself in the next day. He was charged with driving without due care and attention, failing to stop at the scene, and failing to report. Loads of points, a 6 month ban and fines. Haha serves the little twat right!!!

Still waiting for an insurance payout though, been going on sicne August :wall: :wall:

great news. isn't it nice when someone gets what they deserve!

Yea know the feeling, a van drove straight into the back of me in traffic last july, car was twisted in the middle, spent few months off work with back injury... then had a few months of physio for my back... and now being referred to a specialist to assess the lasting damage to my back, leg and hand before solicitors file the personal injury claim.

The guy that hit me has already accepted liability last year, pretty much all the paperwork is done, so just waiting to go to that specialist to see what they say, then find out the figure the solicitors come up with.

Im still in constant agony with my back though, cant drive for long periods, and 9 days out of 10 im constantly taking painkillers and muscle relaxants just to be able to move :(

good news on yours though, hope it gets sorted too, they always want to drag it out
