Reliable OPKs

I’ve never used them before. I’ve found looking at the pics of cheapies on here hard to read so it always put me off.

I just relied on clearblue!

Xx

I used the one step cheapies from Amazon. They worked fine for me and were obviously positive (test line darker than control) when they were supposed to be. For me personally, clear blue just weren't worth the money as they didn't offer me anything more than the cheapies. I had very regular cycles so once I got into a rhythm I just tested when I got in from work as the drive meant I had a decent hold. I then did an extra test in the morning when I thought I was approaching a positive. I tended to ovulate CD11-14 so I didn't start testing until CD10.

I agree with with what @MoominGirl said. I also use the Step Ones and they have always been easy to read in my case. Plus when I get the beginning of a surge, I can follow it easily, up until the drop by using several during the day.

Some people swear by Clearblue but I think they are a bit too expensive for what they do.x

My husband and I are going to try the Clearblue <3 mostly because..I suck at doing all of these strips and reading them lol. But I do wonder if they give me a better idea if I can then try cheapies again and be better with the timing and everything.

They are expensive but we are going to try them and see....unless somehow I get my BFP course ;)

I personally agree with moomin etc. I found clearblue offered nothing that a one step didnt. If you use FMU with onestep (perhaps run along side clearblue for a cycle) you might find you cant see a obvious difference.
I also found my last cycle clearblue was awful & gave me constant flashing smileys beyond ovulation etc.. not really OK in my mind!
If you check CM that can be the best indicator.
Also with Onestep a + is a + i dont think you need to see a so called Peak. If you run both next to each other same time, using FMU only you might see what i mean.. I personally think a LH spike is a LH spike but then again maybe its because i dont feel a need to see a darker then control line + on Onestep for it to be a Peak as after Clearblues "Peak" is basically just a LH surge.

I use the cheapies and once I think its positive I then confirm with the clear blue as well. That way I know if I'm peak or high result, also I do that because I like putting the actual result of tests into my apps. I have had 3 chemicals and 1 miscarriage so I'm ok with spending the extra money so that I have the peace of mind of actually seeing the words.

I like clearblue, I’d second guess myself having to try and decipher lines. I’ve had no major issues with them, yes it can be frustrating getting day after day of flashing smile but the main thing is that every month I’ve gotten my peak and af has arrived 2 weeks go to day afterwards so for me they must be accurate x

I like clear blue but the one step are quite reliable too, those are the ones that my doctors use x
