I thought that I would start a thread so that we can recommend children's books to each other. I am ordering Jake a couple of books for christmas listed below as my friends LO has them and they are great books. The other books in the links are ones that he already has that I would recommend.

THE MONKEY PUZZLE

THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE

GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

WHY I LOVE MY DADDY

PERSONALISED BOOKS ARE ALSO REALLY GOOD. THERE ARE LOADS OF SITES IF YOU JUST GOOGLE PERSONALISED BOOK BUT I HAVE PUT THE LINKS TO A FEW BELOW. JAKE HAS GOT ONE WITH PERSONALISED WORDS IN BUT SOME SITES ACTUALLY DO THEM WITH YOUR CHILDS PHOTO ASWELL.

Nice idea. I love books and I can not wait till my little one is here so we can share lots of them!!

The best book by far (in my opinion) is We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury

I have read it with children in nurseries. The very small love it as much as the not so small. They really love doing the actions. The rhythm and language is lovely and the kids pick it up really easily.

Well for ages last night I was on the internet looking at book reviews. I have found one brilliant author named Julia Donaldson. If you search on amazon for her name you will find loads of books with excellent reviews.

The very hungry caterpillar. This was the first book we bought for Austin & he loves it!

The 'That's not my...' range from Usborne, Austin has that's not my lion, which again he thinks is great.

My favourite Baby books are by Sandra Boynton, they're really funny and are silly rhymes so interesting for babies to listen to. I like Moo Baa La La La best.
