I received a copy of the letter occupational health sent to my manager! It says that they should allow me to try returning to work with atleast one days rest between each shift so 3 days a week! I should be provided with a chair to limit the amount of standing I do and manual handling activity is at my discretion but no heaving lifting or stretching at all. I have to try it for 2 weeks and take it from there. I am hoping I can manage so that I can continue in this way until mat leave and I can take mat leve when I want to!

But isnt stretching good? Doesnt it make birth easier?

Glad they r helping u out mrs mc !! How have u been feeling lately ? Xxx

That sounds reasonable. You can only try and see how you feel. Is temporary redeployment to an admin role or something possible, just whilst you're pregnant? You could always ask your manager about this and it's something OH can recommend, although if there are no posts, they don't have to do this.

Hope this works out for you. I'm struggling with wearing a lead now at work but it's only one day a week so I'm gonna have to try and perservere but I can imaging radiography is very difficult with pelvic problems as it's very hands on. Just be careful about redeployment though as they can cut your banding to reflect the job you're doing - they tried to cut my frind froma 6 down to a 2 as it was 'admin' even though she was deputising the superintendant which should have really got her a 7! Cheeky buggers!
