Really worried this morning after testing

Morning Girls,

First time posting here, I tested last Monday 21st and got bfp on a clear blue digital it said 1-2 weeks. I did another one on Saturday and it said 2-3 weeks. I did another one this morning with fmu and it still read 2-3 weeks. I'm really worried now it's not progressing and something is wrong. Has this happened to anyone before?? My lmp was april 18th. Anyone any words of wisdom for me? I'm due in to the hospital on Friday for an early scan, I should be 6+2 then. By my dates I should be 6 weeks today.

The test can be massively affected by how concentrated your urine is, so if you've drank a slightly different amount or it's a different time of day the results will be different. Try not to worry about it (easier said than done) x x

Hey I did the same and I was testing with the digitals. First one said 1-2 weeks then a few days later came up 2-3 weeks and then I did it the next morning and it said 1-2 weeks again. I was a bit freaked out but I have noticed from all the tests I do that my fmu is not actually thr best to test with and it gave lighter lines than my evening. So I think it just depends on so many factors like what time of day and how dilute the urine is. I also read that some people don't get the 3+ until after 6 weeks

Thanks girls, obv trying my best not to freak out but it's hard not to. I was at the shops after dropping my little ones to playschool and it took all my will not to buy another test. I used to love watching the weeks tick on and now i'm just so deflated x

Lots of women experience a "hook effect" with HPTs. Basically once you get to around 6/7 weeks you have so much HCG in your urine that tests don't work properly and actually show up fainter than they were at 5 weeks. So you might be experiencing that!

Unfortunately the first few weeks of pregnancy are just foggy, it's that awful time in between getting your BFP and seeing everything ok on the scan!

Try not to worry, all you can do is look after yourself and pray it's a sticky bean!

Tests are only meant to detect pregnancy after all and give an indication of conception dates, not demonstrate progression. They're not designed for that, so they don't work like that and therefore are not reliable for that. I hope that makes you feel better!

I cant count how many times I've seen this question on forums with clear blue tests lovely - honestly don't panic. It's always at the 2-3 weeks stage that the tests stop going up and people worry...step away from the clear blue's haha! Happy healthy pregnancy! x

hey same here and I posted this exact same thing this morning, mine one read 1-2 this morning instead of 2-3 I have been getting. Anyway I held my urine and didn't drink any water for 2 hours and hot 2-3 again. So yes it's a lot of rubbish these tests. If you are really worried do the same but make sure your urine is really concentrated not clear color more like yellow.
