I went to see my boss 3 weeks ago and requested to work part time, I said I would like to work mon and tues if possible as thats when MIL is off from work and can have Chester (Yay free childcare!) so she said she would look into call volumes/work loads for mon/tue to see whether that would fit in with the business. She told me to put my request in writing or email and she would speak to HR and look into it that very afternoon.
I went home, did my email and nothing...... not even that she's looking into it. So I sent her another email asking whether she'd managed to look into it, she replied a week later (yesterday) saying she would ring me first thing today if that was convieninient which I said was so I cancelled my day with my sister to wait for her call. I even got Chester fed early so he wouldnt be screaming when she rang.....! But still no call. I'm so annoyed I know she's busy but if she couldnt talk an email to me saying sorry will ring you tomorrow/next week would be better than just nothing. I dont know whether ti leave it til 4pm ish and just ring her? Its silly really but if someone says they'll ring me then I expect them to do so, especiallymy boss.
