really struggling to give up bf

For the past week I have been giving harry a beaker of formula with his dinner and he hasn't really been drinking it just biting the beaker but at least he's not screaming and fighting me anymore I think changing brand helped but he just doesn't seem to want to give up bf, he screams if he's fallen asleep and I'm not there with my boob hanging out all the time! He's on 3 meals a day and he has water at lunch because he doesn't always have a feed but I need to stop because of me returning to work

Alyssa is fine if its not me there, she will take a bottle for my mum or oh if needs be but when it comes to me she generally wants to bf so that might not be helping hun as he associates you with bf'ing

he will accept milk off whoever is looking after him then so dont worry, just means you only feed him when you can, your body will adjust and he will too, least i hope so lol. im not gonna try stopping bf, just only bf when im with her as shes fine with bottles from other ppl so dosent starve. if u want to completely stop then its probably a case of suffering the tantrums and only offering bottles til he realises your not gonna bf him anymore.

Thanks bev we've all got to give up eventually I'm hoping he'll kinda wean himself off me and he won't have to have formula but I don't mind going a bit longer

My friends boy doesnt take formula or even expressed milk. You.dont have to.give up if yoi dont have to, if he is on 3 meal, he will be able to have morning feed and then in the evening. Thats what she is doing
