i no this is really random lol but u no when you go and see the midwife you have to wee in the pot before you go... i cant do it lool wee flies everywere.. is there like sum specail little tecnic

Just nip in docs they give you a pot, i used to do it in a jug lol then pour it in obviously i used to bleach the jug out after

lool ive kept my pot from my 12week booking thing... if you doctors is close to you then u should pop in a get get a pot lool they have loads..

you could try using a funnel

you can get pots from the chemist, dont know how much tho. buuuut the midiwfe is sposed to give you one at the end of each appointment for next time you go, otherwise like u said what r u sposed 2 pee in

You can get little funnels from the supermarket, but I wrap some kitchen roll around the outside, then start weeing (the first bit is always really mad and sprays everywhere ) then when it is in a neat trickle I quickly put the pot under.

It is an art and I always end up with a wet hand, but it's only my own wee and soap and water sorts that out easily enough. Unless I'm feeling mean then I wipe it on DH

You know that urine is sterile when it comes out right? It only picks up bacteria from the surrounding external skin which would need time to breed... Soap and water would be fine, as long as your pee hasn't sat in the jug for a while.

I personally shove the pot right up against my fanny and pee... and invariably need to wash my hands...

A bottle washed out with a screw lid is prob ur best bet chick or hold it and ask when you get to docs then do it

or u can get a plastic cup like a kiddie party cup or something.. when we were ttc.. i used one cup and kept it int eh bathroom.. weed.. dipped.. threw downt he look n washed out with soapy water and kept the cup for next time.. so if u wee in it. pour the wee slowly into the bottle u dont get wee everywhere..

They never give you a urine pot over here, and you always forget to ask for one at the appts. I always go with a fullish bladder and ask midwife for a pot on arrival so I can do it there. My appts are nearly always early in the morning so thats fine!

What I do hate though is the way they stick a white label on the pot (for your name etc) before you go to the loo, and that gets peed all over, so that you have to hand it back to them all soggy!
