Really high HCG level at 5w4d

Hi all

I went to have a blood test today to check my hcg level as I'd been having some cramping (no bleeding). My result came back at 18,639!!!

They want me to go in tomorrow for an early scan to see if there's a reason why it's so high. I was temping and using OPK's so know exactly when I ovulated and my dates are correct.

Any feedback much appreciated What were your levels around the same time?

Mines at your stage were 13000, so not far off in terms of doubling rates. I definitely only have 1 in there as confirmed today! Could be different for you. I know other girls have had really high hcg and it's been a single well pregnancy. Good luck for your scan tomorrow xx

Thanks hun - that makes me feel better. I don't know if I'd cope with more than one, haha! I know we would because you have to but it would be very daunting (we already have two!).

Just so you have an idea at 6+4 weeks mine were 58000 there is only one little been xx good luck for your scan xx

One of the girls on here (eryinera) told me her hcg so I went back to check. Hers were 95000 at 6+2 and she's just had one beautiful little girl. Hope that makes you feel better could be different for you but I agree, twins would be a thought when you already have kids xx

Hi all. Had the scan yesterday evening and there is indeed (in the sonographers words) just one healthy, well implanted baby in there with a good heartbeat

My body has been on overdrive this entire pregnancy. I had hg at the start and end lol pgp at the end and now I'm over producing milk so I have two taps that are constantly dripping. And I'm getting after pains like stron braxton hicks 1 week after she's born. But it's 100% worth it x for the napping bundle on my knee
