my favourite mug (the big huge one lol) is really badly tea-stained! my mum says use normal bleach on it  dont fancy that idea tho what about milton would that work? how much fluid to water etc? or is there another groovy way of getting rid of them?

I agree with your mum & recommend bleach! Before we had our dishwasher it was the only thing that I could use to remove tea stains from cups.

Just ensure that you rinse it & wash it afterwards, preferably with boiling water :)

 eek! ok well how much bleach and how long do leave it in?

I would say around 1cm at th bottom, leave for a while then fill with boilibg water, leave a bit longer, then take gloves & a scourer & clean it up!

Then wash & rinse with boiling water & it should be good as new :D

lemon juice mixed with salt into a paste!! It's a natural cleaner, then just rinse it loads!

I use bleach, it really isn't a problem. I just pop a tiny bit in the bottom of the cup, top up with warm water and leave for half an hour or so. Then rinse and wash in hot soapy water as usual. Always come up sparkly white. I have had the same cups for about 10 years now and they still look brand new! (They are quite expensive Dunoon ones, so I couldn't bare to chuck them.)

every few weeks i bleach all my cups n mugs... keeps them like new.

I have something called revive power paste which I bought from ideal world.

Not sure if you can still get it from there but it is bloody amazing stuff. It removes dirt and grime from almost anything. I use it all round the house and it doesn't stain like bleach so if you spill some it doesn't matter.

Soverign, do you work for the shopping channel???? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good old bleach works for me....
