Hey girls! As the title states i feel like im gonna loose my mind. I just feel awful atm. I cnt sleep because of restless leg syndrome and crazy pelvic pain, unbelievable pelvic pressure and not being able to get into a comfortable position to sleep. I have slight carpel tunnel which means i cnt sleep on my hands...

During the day im feeling exhausted because of this but cant sleep because ive a 19 month old to run around after. I do still feel back pain and pelvic pain and get uncomfortable very easy and feel sorry on my son because he just wants to go go go.

My hormones on top of all of this r horrendous i just feel like all i do is cry and complain...

I know it probably seems like nothing to some of u girls who r going through worse im just ready d scream.

Any help/advice will most definitely be appreciated x

Oh Cers :(

Have you spoken to anyone about the pelvic pain/ pressure? Have you got a support belt? How soft is your mattress? Sleeping on top of a thick blanket will help to cushion your hips and pelvis if you have quite a firm mattress. My partner used to suffer terrible with restless legs. We researches it and it's all about blood flow, there are some excersizes you can so before bed to get the blood moving, I can't remember what they are but have a look on google.

Is there anyone that can help out with your toddler one day for you to catch up? If not give in to his favourite TV programme and snuggle up on the sofa, it's only short term and if it makes you feel better he'll feel the benefits as well.

Really feel for you :( xx

This may not be the best solution but there is a children's theme park a short drive away from us called wheelgate where there are loads of different indoor play areas with lots of tables and chairs around them. We've taken my niece there and you can get an annual pass for something like £20 I think and a lot of mums go there with a friend and sit and relax with a coffee while their children entertain themselves in the play areas for hours. You wouldn't be able to sleep of course but you would be able to sit and rest while your toddler tired themselves out. You will feel better getting out of the house too I'm sure. Hopefully there is something like wheelgate near you.

What about weekends? Could your parents come over and baby sit for a couple of hours while you have a nap? You may find napping is the only way you can get any sleep as you're not lying uncomfortable for long periods.

Thanks guys. OH had the day off today which is a bonus so gonna try get a little sleep. Had being exhausted because i feel everything is just a domino effect if i dnt get sleep my back and pelvis hurt more then the vomiting starts.

I have mentioned the back ache and the pelvic pain and pressure and doctor said "thats just normal in pregnancy".. i cuda slapped her!! I have a firm mattress and have been sleeping on the duvet with a light bblankt around me. I am going to continue to walk (i was every day in hopes to tire my legs out)... and maybe have a bath nyt hope d god it relaxes me.

Thanks Jessie i must look up those exercises to see cos if i have another night like the last few im gonna jump out a window lol...

I wish i could have more support from family unfortunately by dad has a disability which prevents him being on his feet too long and my LO is a handfull and my mum works nearly every day. My sister is also pregnant so wouldnt ask her and my other 2 sisters live away from home. My brother and his wife have offered to help but they are always working and as for me OH hes doing his best poor critter. He works alot and when hes here he does as much as possible....

Im just scunnered as i didnt have this all until the last week or two with my son and ive another 11/13 weeks to go give or take lol...

Really appreciate your responses thank u so much xx

Ahhh I do feel for you its so horrible having restless legs isn't it, it like a slow torture :( I have had it all the way through this pregnancy and not really pinpointed why and how to stop it. My midwife suggested tonic water as it's got quinine in it but I don't like to drink it because of the aspartame. Someone else suggested acupuncture, not sure if this works.

Over the last two weeks I have had two iron infusions (I.V) and coincidently my restless legs have gone. I don't know if it related but it's such a relief!

I haven't been able to sleep in bed with my husband for weeks, just can't get comfortable-hip and back pain and turning over creates a duvet tsunami! So I'm on the sofa, using one arm padded with pillows to prop myself up and the other arm to raise one leg which helps with the painful hips. Soooo cannot wait until my little man is safely here! Hugs to you x
