Rash?!?

I've noticed this evening I've developed a rash on my abdomen either side of my bump. It's red in colour and slightly raised and feels warm.

I feel generally well this evening and haven't done anything I don't normally do, haven't changed my soap powder nor have I eaten anything I wouldn't normally.

Just wondered if anyone else has had the same or similar?

Hmm I'm not sure hun. Is it itchy? Maybe give the midwife a call tomorrow and ask?! Or your gp maybe?

Morning,

I was going to call the Dr this morning but it seems to have gone down a bit overnight so I'll keep an eye on it. The redder more raised bits are still there.

It's not itchy but I did mention itchiness to my Mw on Monday and she said its nothing to be concerned about until Tri3.

I have a rash, and it's like little reddish pimples on either side of my bump. They itch, though. I think it was due to using bio oil because I started using it instead of my usual Palmers moisturiser and I have sensitive skin, so probably reacted to it. It's gone down since I stopped the bio oil. I told my MW at my last appointment and she took blood for the liver function tests just in case, but with OC it tends to be itchiness on the arms and legs first, I think. I wouldn't worry too much about it. My MW said that our skin is so stressed out by the stretching that it can do weird things.

Thanks Karen. I've bene unsing Clarins Body Treatment Oil since Nov and got a new one recently, it came in new packaging so I suppose that its just possible they've changed the formula and thats whats caused it. The reddish spots are still there but the heat is out of it and when I used the oil this morning I didnt have a reaction...

Something strange to keep an eye on.
