Ella was a bit grisly last night but not terrible so I didn't get her up. When I went in this am I noticed some red blotches on her arm and when I undressed her she has a red rash all over her body. She doesn't seem to have a temperature but our batteries are dead so I've only got one of those crappy forehead ones that don't work properly. she seems ok in herself, I bf her and she's gone back down again, no crying etc but I'm really worried. She's not had any new foods, no.change of washing powder etc. I'm gonna call the Dr as soon as they open but any ideas in the meantime?

My Ella has had a bit of a rash and hv said it was just a bit of a heat rash so hopefully yours might just be that too x

Thanks hun, hopefully I'm worrying over nothing, seems weird tho as its actually been cooler last night!

I t does sound like a heat rash because as you say she has no other symptoms , let us know :hugs: xxx

Yes I was gonna say heat rash, hope everything is ok x

Well gp said he'd never seen anything so bad and sent us to a&e. Turns out its a severe allergic reaction, possible to Tesco bubble bath as its the only new thing we used although it was on Monday night! Luckily its just affected her skin so they sent us home with some piriton and I've got to keep an eye on her and take her back if she gets problems with her breathing etc. Not sure I'll sleep tonight now, may go.in ellas room with her! X

Awwwwh the poor wee mite :( I hope shes ok tonight xxx

How's her rash today Hun? better i hope! x

Thanks hun, its still there but not quite so bad thankfully. By bedtime last night her whole face was covered but that at least seems to have gone down. I slept in her room last night just in case but fingers crossed she still seems ok in herself. Whatever you do don't use Tesco baby bath! The hospital are pretty sure thats what caused it!

Oh bless her! Just goes to show you can't be too careful with rashes, my LO had a couple of blotches on his legs just before Xmas and because they were non blanching I took him to a&e because my gp couldn't see him, expecting to be old nt to be so silly and to go home but we were still there 4 days later! Well done for getting it sorted, hopefully she is well on the mend now :). Really makes you worry about introducing new products though doesn't it?! I would let Tesco know too if you can, they prob won't do anything but if other babies have problems too then at least you did your bit and reported it :) x

glad she is a bit better, how scary for you :( x

Well back to the doctors this am as the rash started to turn purple and looked like she was covered in bruises! Typically by the time he saw us it had gone back to red so I looked like a total neurotic mummy! He was very good tho, he called me last night to see how she was and what a&e said and I called this am to ask for a callback which should have been at 1 after surgery but he called me at 11 and saw me at 12.15! ella does have a slight temperature now tho so given her some calpol and keeping an eye on her. Another night on the nursery floor methinks!

thanks inky, I did as you suggested - it hadn't even crossed my mind til you did! I e-mailed their customer services last week and got a phonecall yesterday, they are going to test the bubble bath to see if it is a faulty batch. Luckily ella seems to be much better now :)

Poor little thing.

Hope she's feeling better and the rash goes soon.x
