Hi girls

As part of my 2 year olds birthday next month I'm buying her a big girl bed, a single bed and I'm wondering what tog duvet is recommended?

Her room is usually 19-21 on an evening. Will a 4.5tog be too hot? Tbh she usually kicks her blanket off in her cot but when she's in her sleeping bag sleeps really well. Sorry I'm a worrier

Hi, my 20 month old has a 3 tog quilt on her bed and always seems warm enough. I think she's had it since the beginning of the year (so through the Winter). Her bedroom is usually the same temp as your little girl's too. To be fair I know she will push it off herself if she gets too warm.

I just got a normal single quilt and they are fine they can kick it off if too warm. Xx

We've still got a toddler bed as I bought a cot to toddler bed and I bought toddler quilts they're basically 4,5 tog (got mine from Asda) but they do sell singles in 4.5 tog too and I reckon if you stick to that they'll be fine x

Thanks all. I could only see 4.5 in the shops and worried that could be too hot but I've seen some 1, 2 and 3 one's on Amazon so I think I'll buy a two to start with for summer. Just feels so odd when I love my 12tog all year round

No it's too hot for the little ones to have 12 tog. This winter I used both as I bought a spare once and that quite often was too warm for him so he ends up kicking it off! I used to co sleep so I know haha I used to be freezing lol!

Funny how they get hot but we love our massive 12t tog ones all year round. I always worrk my little one is cold.. when did you move from cellular blankets to prooer bedding?

I started putting my daughter into sleeping bags and 6 months and only moving on now she's going to go into a big girl bed and it might be dangerous if she gets up and trips.
