Quick question about expressing...

Hi

I'm expressing a bit so that DH can do a bit of night feeding, but just wondered if I needed to express every day in order for my milk supply to stay enough to provide expressed milk and normal breast feeding?? Harry is only 10 days old, so just want to make sure my milk supply is enough for him....

I express to let me go out sometimes when I was on mat leave, and now express for nursery. I still don't do it every day though. If you were looking for daddy to do feeds every night, you might be better starting of quite regularly, to build up some stock, but if your only looking for it now and then, just do it when you have time. X

I tend to express in the morning so that hubby can do a feed. If we don't use it that day I just freeze it and have a nice stockpile.

If you want it to be a daily thing then express daily to maintain the excess xx

Thanks ladies that's helpful Just wondering when the best time to express is i.e. before/after a feed and how long should I leave before expressing and feeding? Sorry for all the questions!!! xxx

I normally express after the morning feed so I dont have to feed C for a little while. Xx
