Quick advice for me (husband) regarding after birth

My partner had an emergency c-section and everything is fine our baby was 42 weeks before he showed. Anyway I'm due back at work on Wednesday and she is still struggling with everyday jobs, she's been told only time will heal the wound. My question is will my doctor give me a sick note for helping out around the home?

No I don't think so. Have you got any holiday leave that you could take? Or your employer may let you have compassionate leave xx

You can take parental leave each year but it's unpaid, other than that there's annual leave. Hth

Dr won't give you a sick note because you aren't sick.
You may be able to take some unpaid leave.
