question regarding MATB1

When do you get these and when do you need to give them to your employer?

Im 25 weeks on saturday and had my 24 weeks midwife appointment today, she didnt give me the form but something in the back of my mind says I need to give it to work at 25 weeks

I havent got mine yet, I never had a 24 week appointment mine isnt till im about 28 weeks with the doctor so dont worry hun xx

Im gonna ask for mine at the docs appointment, my employer says in their booklet to give it to them at 25 weeks , I saw our pesonal manager and she said when i get it just give it to them and theyll sort it out from their (my maternity leave)

I rember when i was pregnant with Alastair, I just went to reception and asked for one, she got doc to do and i called back later that day and picked it up

i got mine on tuesday from my GP and gave it to HR on wednesday,they never said it was too early so at least thats over with!!

I got mine at my 20 week scan the midwife gave me it I needed it to sort out my maternity leave with work

Hey I got mine last monday and handed it in to HR, so all sorted ! Mat leave to start 26th january ! if I can last that long ! but will be off till near end of Novemeber 2009 ! including some holidays !

You really should get it when you're around 25 weeks at the latest. If you haven't had it I would ask your midwife or GP for it asap.

Think it depends on when your work needs it by as to the urgency of getting it. My company say they need it 15 weeks before due date, which is 25 weeks, however i wont be getting mine till my 25 week check with the GP so by the time they get it it'll be after that, hopefully it wont be a problem!

My MW says I'll get mine at 26 weeks and they don't give them out until then. My company require confirmation of when you intend to begin maternity leave by 25 weeks, but I just gave this in writing to my employer and told them the MATB1 will follow.
