Question for mums who had caesarean...

I know you are supposed to be pregnant to ask a question in this section but I need some advice from some mums that have had a caesarean... (sorry, I didnt know where else to put it)

How long after the surgery should the staples come out? I havent been told, and I dont want to return to the hospital, I want to make an appointment with my gyno instead. The staple punctures on each side are still quite red but the scar looks as if it has healed very well.

Help please... thanks!

I didn't have staples, I had dissolvable stiches but I googled it for you and from what I've read, they take them out after a week. There isn't really much info on it but I hope that helps

I am really worried now, as it has been 12 days and they feel so tight and stuck almost. By Monday, by the time I get my appointment, it will have been 2 weeks.

They should be out after 7 days really, as an ex nurse we used to take out staples between 7-10 days but if the wound looked good then 7 ideallly. They really shouldn't be in for 2 weeks, not too sure what happens healthcare wise in Spain but here you go to the GP and get the practice nurse to take em out. Can you get to see a nurse?

I had one long stich... it was taken out by MW on day 6 I think!
