Hiya :)
I've just got my treatment schedule through and I start my Buserelin injections on Wednesday. The meds are being dropped off Tuesday and I don't really know much about it.
I'm having a FET transfer- do I take the injections in the evening at the same like the gonal f? And in the stomach? Or are they morning like Cetrotide?

I'm going to call the clinic Monday and find out but just wondered if you ladies knew?

Xx

Hello I started my 1st Buserelin injection yesterday and have to take mine in the evening.
When I start gonal f next week I'll be taking them side by side at the same time.

I'm quite new to all this IVF talk and not sure what Cetrotide is ... I'm sure someone else will pop along and answer that.

Good luck lovely xx

I had to do all of my injections in the morning, it varies from clinic to clinic I think xx

Ah ok :)
Cetrotide was to stop me from ovulating in my first round of IVF- I did the short protocol so as soon as af arrived I had baseline scan then started gonal f on cd4 I think then started Cetrotide a few days after- I never down regged that cycle because of my pcos I had high risk of ohss so they took that route instead- but as I'm not doing stims this cycle then they don't need to worry about that.

Does it come like an epi-pen or is it where you have to mix from the vials?

xxxx

Buserelin is usually in liquid form in a vial which you draw up into the needle. I took mine in the evening at the same time as the gonal f and in the stomach. Double check with your clinic though as they do all vary x

Buserelin is in a little bottle and you use an insulin type syringe to draw it up. I injected it in the evening at the same time as gonal f (that is a pen). Both injections were into the stomach do I did one either side xx

That sounds similar to Cetrotide which I had in the mornings that you had to draw up into the syringe. Those ones hurt :( I found gonal f ok but after the Cetrotide, I was left with a sore red achy area for an hour or so after the injections. I'm on these for 4 weeks or so I believe. Going to phone tomorrow and find out what they say :) xxxx
