I've given Reggie some recently as a friend always has them for her LO and so i let him try a couple. They are so easy for him to eat he loves them. Obviously i wouldnt let him have then often or more then one or two, but are they really bad??xx

My mum used to buy them for Isaac but I didn't like them so I asked her to buy the organix crisps instead :) And to answer your question yes quavers are bad. There is a website that lists all the kids snacks and what they contain, can't remember the name now  My SIL showed me it once.

Isaac does have quavers now though occasionally :)

Thanks Lou, I really would prefer not to give them and buy a better alternative but the ones in the baby aisle (like organic carrot sticks, etc) seem to say only from 12 months?? Are there any 'healthier' baby type versions he can have at 6 months??xx

:shhh: Evie loves quavers.

I don't like skips so she's never had those- I have to eat the remainder of the packet nce she's had 3 or 4! :moon:

She normally has the Organix crisps though- she has a few with her sandwich at lunch time

Erm not sure hun, you'd have to look at more of the the labels like you have already. I remember Isaac loved moon biscuits and biscotti, but they are obviously biscuits and not crisps...Just have 5 mins checking the labels next time you go shopping :)

I often wonder if it only says from 12 months as they assume thats the age most babies are started on finger foods like crisps  Maybe I will try a pack and just let him have one to see and i can always eat the rest  xx

The sweetcorn organix ones are from 7 months. Dexter tried them yesterday for the first time and loved them! x

Excellent, will definately get some of those then thanks! :D xx

Isaac loved the sweetcorn ring ones, still does now and then :D

The ones that say 12 months + all have salt in them (as do quavers and skips) and he shouldn't have salt until a year old as it is very bad for his developing kidneys. The sweetcorn ones don't have salt.

Good to know thanks, definately gonna get some of the organix ones :D xx

Just a word of warning - if you are running late in the morning and just looking for something to throw down so your tummy doesn't rumble before break don't eat a sweetcorn ring! They stick to the inside of your mouth and to you teeth

Connie eats the odd Quaver. She's not dead yet.

Finlay eats the carpet and it still thriving ;)

Finlay has some of the Organix crisps too - he loves the tomato ones and carrot ones

LO has had the odd quaver when I have been eating them, but I prefer her not to have them as they are full of c**p!

Organix do sweetcorn, carrot and tomato crisps in their 7 month plus range they are in a bigger packet than the other ones. LO loves them all (but her mean mummy won't have the carrot ones as they are too messy!!)

Jared loves the organix range of crisps, and has had them from about 7/8months.He is a definite savoury boy tho, wouldn't eat any birthday cake, but loved mini cheddars and cheese straws!!

Lottie likes the carrot ones. They say from seven months onwards but they only contain a trace of salt. However I am with magic monkey here, they are messy. Lottie ends up with a lovely orange face afterwards. Looks like she has had one sun bed to many!!!

Thanks everyone Im gonna try and get the carrot sticks they sound nice!

And Angelblue, thats great your LO is more of a savoury boy, saves trying to get him off the sweet stuff :D xx
