so i got mine yesterday which were low risk but it says 1 in 12000 which doesn't sound that low to me, 1 in 1000000 is low!!

what were other people's results like?

1 in 12000 sounds great to me! I wasn't given a ratio, just told I was low risk, which was good enough for me!

i had the triple test and mine came back 1 in 7500 but thats low enough risk for me not to be worried!

well I was given 1 in 100 chance and then we had problems with the baby not growing so had to have the full amnio done to count out any chromosome problems and they came back with no problems so I had been given a low risk at 1 in a 100 not sure what a good and bad one is as my aunt was given a 1 in 35 and she has a healthy baby boy and we were given like I said 1 in 100 but then the amnio results came back clear xx

Mine came back as 1 in 17,500 which they said is low risk.

I didn't get a figure but anything over 1 in 250 is considered low risk bear in mind the reverse way of looking at this this figure is that you have lass than 0.4 a percent of having a baby with downs.

The figure you have works out roughly as a 0.008 percent chance.
Hopefully that may clarify it a little :)

I agree with Sol, the higher the number, the better, 1 in 12000 means you have a chance of being that 1 lady in amoungst 12000 ladies where only 1 should have a problem, that's great.

I for example had a 1 in 9 risk on the combined test and so had the cvs, and apparently all clear ad Devon should be free from chromosone issues.

Great news Hun

I just received my results before I went on holiday a week ago and was told 1 in 1500, so that's good enough for me!!

Mine was 1:9900 which I was very pleased at. It'll get lower the older infer though so I'll need to pop out some more sprogs soon after this one makes her appearance!!

Mine was 1 in 19,000. I think they say 1 in 100 is high risk, so I reckon yours is very good!
