Pyogenic granuloma

Has anyone else got one of these? What can you do to make them go away?
A red dot appeared on my neck about 3 months ago and got bigger and bigger until it looked like a large spot. My OH pointed it out and asked what it was so I had a pick at it (stupid I know) I barely scratched it and it started bleeding. Not a little, I mean pouring with blood. I was all over my top and hand. It keeps bleeding randomly now. Its enough blood to soak threw several bits of kitchen roll too. Ive noticed Ive got one on my face too. My Mom thinks its Pyogenic granuloma which are sometimes called pregnancy tumors. Ive looked it up and it sounds the same. A rapid growing red spot that looks like a blood blister.

Hmm, my Grandad has/had something similar to what you have described but I don't think it is the same thing as he had to have treatment. I've not heard of a Pyogenic granuloma but I did just look it up and it says that in pregnancy they generally disappear after delivery

Is it very sore?

Its not sore just annoying. My OH said hes never seen blood loss like it from something so small. I have really low BP I cant imagine what it would be like if it was high. The thing thats worrying me is it keeps bleeding for no reason.

I think you should make an appointment with your doctor. They would be best able to diagnose what it is and suggest what should be done about it.
