As the title says.... Got my bfp yesterday and this morning put my back out while putting my 2 year old in her highchair! I've had ice on it all day but it's not helping at all! Has anyone got any tips to try and get me managing to walk again! Called the osteopath who won't see me until I'm 12 weeks (I'm only 4 weeks!)

I'd google ways to relieve back pain in pregnancy - what works for some doesn't work for others, so I think it's probably a case of trial and error (obviously stop doing something if it's making it worse) - some people have long soaks in the bath, a gentle walk, hot water bottle, specific stretches, a gentle massage, etc. The best thing for me has been a gentle bounce on my birthing ball (which I really didn't expect to use this early in my pregnancy - glad I bought it when I did!) I did also take paracetamol a couple of times when it was really bad, just to take the edge off so I could get to sleep at night. You might find you need a couple of paracetamol just to get to a point where you can do some of the stretches/exercises or whatever.

Thanks for your reply. I called the osteopath earlier who reminded me of the excercises I was given after having my lg as it's the same part of my back that I've pulled today. Although they were too sore for me to do. The ice doesn't seem to be doing anything so just waiting on my mum arriving with a hot water bottle! I took some paracetamol earlier after calling a pharmacist who said paracetamol would be ok to take, it didn't make any difference though so might have to call the doctor tomorrow. Struggling to cope with my almost 2 year old wanting up a lot and in and out of her cot etc.

Early night for me I think :nap::nap:
