Purple gum!?

Hi. Sorry been off a few days.
C still has just the two bottom teeth, but def been teething with the next load for a bit now.
He was just lying on me, and when I gave him his dummy I noticed the front gum, on the right side only, looks like he's been punched! It's really purple/blue, and looks really quite swollen. It's at the front of his gum, rather than where the tooth will come out.
This never happened with my eldest, is this just from teething? Like, he couldn't get it infected or anything right?
Tell me someone else has a little oddball baby too!! Xx

Someone mentioned something about if the tooth goes through a blood vessel whilst its coming out then it can look like that....if nothing else you got bumped x
