PUPPS RASH - help!!!

I gave birth 9 days ago and I’ve had a horrendous rash on my stomach which has spread to arms legs ankles and sides. It’s called PUPPS from what I’ve read online. The doctor had given me a steroid cream but it does nothing for the itch and burn. I’ve never felt pain and aggravation like this and after suffering a 3rd degree tear, and struggling to breastfeed this is the last thing I needed. Has anyone had any experience with this and have any good remedies to help it go away? How long should it last!?

Have you taken antihistamine? Also I put cold ice packs on mine that helped loads!! Xx
