protein and white cells in urine?

Hello ladies

Well just come back from seeing doc today and seems it is normal for my stomach bug to keep coming back due to the fact that I'm worn down.

My urine is showing that I'm dehydrated despite drinking what feels like galons of water a day and it's also showing that I have white cells and protein in my urine?

What exactly does that mean in regard to implications?

She wasn't too happy with giving me antibiotics there and then and has sent it off for testing at the hospital.

She asked me if I'm working due to my cramps etc....and all of my ailments and told her only about 12 hours per week, she said that she's happy for me to carry on but only if I take complete rest around work and leave all household chores etc to DF!

So here I am ladies, lying in bed with toast and tea and heaps of water being looked after until I have to go to work at 3

I know protein in your wee can indicate infection occasionally, but some women just get it when they are pregnant i think, i have heard of one lady on here who said she had it right the way through and her baby was fine. Mine always seems to have it in to and they check it regularly nut never ring back with an infection or need for antibiotics. So maybe its just because you are ill and dehydrated.

I never drink enough water either, half a 500ml bottle a day and a few small glasses of fruit juice or pop, thats it.

Is it linked to pre-eclampsia?

That's what concerns me the most... when i had B&T they were delivered early due to the on set of this and it concerns me too this time as I really want a natural birth

i always had protein ++ in my urine when i was pregnant they always sent off samples and came back NAD (normal) i normally have protein+ anyway when i am not pregnant so thats just whats normal for me. i didnt get preclampsia when i was pregnant and i have never heard it is a pre cursur to getting it. it must just be weird kidneys dont worry.
because you have protein and white cells it does sound like a possible uti are you symptomatic?

she thinks I may have a uti but won't give me antibios until she knows for sure.

Also, I have thrush again which last time was trigered by the antibios so she's a bit off put about that too...I'm just falling apart!

it all depends how much protien there was a small amount could be an infection it may be nothing but a high amount can can be linked to pre clamsea thats what i had

i would of thought if it is anything to worry about he would of told you xxx

I love the idea of A doing the housework - bet he doesn't tho I think C would faint if he found out he would have to do all the housework - I think I would move into a hotel

feel sorry for him though as it's a bloomin hard house to clean!

he's got 2 sets of stairs to hoover a few times a week and it takes hours with the two of us doing it together, I feel quite bad as he's exhausted from looking after us, let alone working

Ahhhh bless him - he is an angel for looking after you all so well I hate cleaning - although I have to admit C does do all the hoovering and 90% of the cooking!! And if I'm having ablitz he does help a lot

I bet B&T would help him though too for you babe - even if they just polish and hoover maybe?

m m/w g ave me a list of symptoms to watch out for with pre eclamsia today as I am higher risk and told me to contact triage for a check up if i had these sysmptoms

frontal headache
sudden odema
visiual disturances

so if you get any of these aswell get checked out...and keep drinking

I had protein in my urine my whole pregnancy with Kiara and all was fine and the same so far with this one so sometimes it mist be okay

cloud9- visual disturbances, is that like eyes going blurry , ive been having my eyes go blurry and kinda funny happens all the time, but think its cuz im tired, is this okay?

I have protein too, my urine was sent off and over a week later no results so I'm taking anti-biotics anyway just in case.
