My 16 month old has been diagnosed with Osteomyelitis and had 4 days of IV antibiotics in hosipital and now has to have 3 different antibiotics 3 or 4 times a day - a lot of medicine for a little boy!
Apart from the nightmare of administering the foul tasting drugs I am really worried about long term effects of so many antib's for 4 weeks.
Should I give him some sort of pro-biotic too? I know you can get them in powder form which can add to milk. The doctors haven't said anything about it, but I think I should do something?
Also, he now has a red blotchy sore place on his upper leg near where his happy goes and there's a bit on his once of his testicls too, could this be Thrush?
I reckon a trip to the GP's will be in order tomorrow but just wondered if anyone else had any advice.
