I went for my early scan today and got to see my tiny baby for the first time (it's only 16.3mm long, bless) there was a very clear heartbeat and everything and it measured 8 weeks exactly. I was really pleased and hubby got a bit teary bless him but there it was in black and white. We also got to keep heaps of pictures so that my family can have something to coo over.
It was really nice to be told at this stage everything looks and measures perfectly normal and that our risk of miscarriage was now quite low (still possible but quite unlikely). I was definitely reassured by my "reassurance" scan .
PS - also got to see my own ovaries for the first time (very cool!)
