I have a question about progesterone and the effects it has. I was prescribed progesterone for my first 12 weeks due to two previous losses. I am inserting one 400mg pessary twice daily and the brand I'm using is Cyclogest. I've been feeling nauseas constantly but don't know if it's because of the progesterone or not. The information leaflet that came with it doesn't mention nausea at all, which makes me think my sick feeling is purely down to the pregnancy. However I've heard of a few ladies feeling nauseas when using progesterone. I just wondered if it was because of the overload of the hormone as we're already pregnant (seeing as it can also be used for non pregnant people for other things!) or literally just because it does cause nausea. I'm over analysing my symptoms most probably but am curious about the cause of my yuck feeling - baby or medication! I am six weeks pregnant today. Although my nipples are tender if I give them a squeeze I don't have any other symptoms apart from being slightly more tired. Thanks ladies x

I had progesterone pessaries with my first LO as she was an IVF baby but haven't with this one and can't say that I've noticed much of a difference with my morning sickness - it's been the same for both pregnancies.
I'd say that any nausea you have is probably just the natural side effect of being pregnant

It could be either one of those things you'll never know what caused it.
Morning sickness in pregnancy is due to the changes in hormone levels, so if you're adding extra hormone into your already pregnant body, it's bound to make you feel even sicker.

Good luck and hope it eases soon

I'm currently on a trial so that or placebo

I've had morning sickness but it's eased right off and it's only every now and then I'm 13 weeks and have to use it until week 16

Awful stuff on your knick knacks lol xx
