Problems with Peach 3 - anyone else?

So I'm already on to my second iCandy Peach 3 in just 4 months due to a twisted frame with the first. While out in town today, the handlebar jammed half up/half down, we couldn't do anything with it, couldn't even fold it back down. After a lot of effort, my oh managed to get the handle bar back down and so fold the pram. When we got back home and fully inspected the frame, it is now completely twisted (even worse than the first frame that we managed to get swapped).
We've began to question if we are doing something wrong in handling the pushchair, but we are using it exactly as advised in all the information sent with it from ICandy. I cannot understand why 2 separate frames have ended up twisting.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this, especially when it is so new (first frame after 4 weeks, 2nd just under 3 months)?
How were any problems dealt with?
Where do I stand on requesting a refund or exchange for a different pushchair altogether?

I've now lost all confidence in a brand and pushchair that I loved. I am beyond disappointed, especially after spending nearly £1000 in the hope of getting something decent that would last me for as long as possible - how wrong I was!!

Sorry for the rant, just hoping that we're not the only ones that have experienced such problems.

I have the apple2pear and haven't had any problems but then that's a different frame.

Have you googled to see if anyone else is having the problem? I'd be really annoyed too, it's pretty new design as well so you'd have thought they'd have tested in throughly!

I'm gutted because I really love it, apart from the issues we've had. I just don't know what else I would even consider if we were to swap it!
What is the apple2pear like? I know a few people with the Peach and no one seems to have had the problems we've had, seems we've just had the bad batches!!
Google isn't coming up with too much other than a few people saying they've had their handlebars break, but nothing about the frame twisting.
I'm calling the shop I brought it from first thing, fingers crossed!!

Def fingers crossed!

I like my apple2 tbh if I had my time agin I'd have bought the peach3 as I think mine is more of a budget option (or at least I feel the finishing touches aren't quite as luxurious). Saying that thought we're currently ttc so I'm going to need a double buggy hopefully fairly soon so ours is ideal for that

I have had the peach 3 since August and never had any issues with it. Although we don't use it. Did you register the pram with the Icandy company when you first got it?

Yeh its all registered with icandy. I took it back to the shop on Monday and they replaced the handlebar. The man said 'I don't think it was the handlebar but I did it anyway.' I told him it wasn't the handlebar that was the problem, the whole frame is twisted, which he saw for himself and said 'oh yeh, that's a a strange one isn't it?' No s*** Sherlock!!!! So the frame is still twisted....waiting for my oh to come back from working away tomorrow so he can call them again as they don't seem to be listening to me anymore. Frustrating!

I really hope you get it sorted. Maybe an angry man phoning them will get them off their arse and fix it properly. I would be asking for some kind of compensation for the inconvenience too.

Haha that's what I'm hoping. I get so wound up and say I'm going to get really angry with them, then just end up being all nicey nice when I speak to them :-/ xx

So we went back to the shop again yesterday (4th time since we got the pushchair in September!) and explained all the issues that we are having with it. We were made to feel like we were making it all up, but they agreed to send it to iCandy for testing. They gave us a loan pushchair to use in the mean time, as ours is expected back in around a week.
As soon as we walked out the shop, we noticed a huge difference in the build quality and sturdiness of the frame. My oh went back into the shop to explain the difference, and how loose ours fees in comparison. They offered to swap our chasis for the loan one. The problem is, ours is a Peach 3 in immaculate condition, the loan is a used Peach 1........would you agree to the swap? Does anyone know where we stand on this? Xx

Send it back to icandy and buy a different pushchair

I wouldn't accept anything less than in perfect working order. I didn't spend anywhere near that on a pushchair but if I had... You wouldn't catch me swopping it for an old loan frame :/

That's what I want to do, I'm so fed up with it now which is such a shame because I do love it, apart from all the problems! I'm just not convinced that we would get our money back, and there's no way I'd sell it knowing the problems with it. Xx

Kick up a fuss, social media, explain you'll go to local newspapers etc. They will have seen the hasstle you've had. I'd start putting your foot down :) x

I've tried to be nice so far but really losing my patience now. I'll see what iCandy have to say Monday, then I'll definitely be doing what you suggest if I still don't get anywhere :-) xx

If the nicely nicely preach isn't working then definitely step it up a gear. Those pushchairs aren't cheap you deserve a perfect working pram

If the shop will swap it get the stokke crusi, it's amazing! Everyone comments how nice my pram is and when other mums see it in action they think it's amazing!

Yep, definitely the way to go from now.
I've no idea what to even look at if we end up looking for something new. I'll need something that will convert into a double :-/ I was hoping the Peach would see me through but maybe not. Is the Crusi one that can double up? I think one of the Stokke ones does, but not sure which? Xx

The stokke crusi does double up, that's why I chose it. I read some reviews that said not much room for second baby underneath but when I looked at a few it had the most room! We narrowed it down to the stokke or the peach 3 but the peach was far too heavy! The girl in the shop wouldn't even let me try and lift it when I was pregnant which defeated the object! I can't fault the stokke...I'm actually try get think of anything negative about it and I can't!
