Hi,
I've been breast feeding successfully for 10 weeks now and its been going really well, up until the last few days.
My LO has just started pulling off my nipple, shaking his head around and just seems really frustrated. I know its not because he's full as when I stop he screams for more! I've tried stopping to wind him, but I don't think thats the problem.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks xx

He could b fussing coz he's having a growth spurt and wants the milk double quick! Ethan used to do this and it was highly frustrating! Sometimes feeding somewhere quiet with minmal distractions helps- can u feed lying down hun? Might b worth a go? Like I say may just b heading into the 3 month growth spurt and he will settle again soon xx

You can try doing breast compression while he's feeding to make the milk flow faster. You make a 'c' shape with the opposite hand to boob iykwim and just squeeze hard. It worked sometimes when my little one went through this phase.

Could also be teething?

I sometimes leave LO on his own for 10 mins then come back and try again. Usually works.

Hang on in there it'll pass :)

I get this often, so frustrating. I still don't know what it is.

I agree it could be teeth. But now and then I find my LO is like this, and I realise it's because we've become over-confident and am just feeding him then moving on where I used to let him feed and suckle and cuddle as much as he liked to build up my supply. Could going back to basics and having a bit of skin on skin and a few days of more regular feedings help possibly?

Thanks for your advice, strangely since I posted he's fed three times and not done it at all! Little monkey :)
