preservative?

iv been making home-made baby food and freezing it in ice cube trays.

but when i got a banana cube out of the fridge after leaving it to defrost overnite it had gone brown had 2 throw it away

is there a natural preservative i can put in to stop this?

Hiya hun,

Bananas, like apples oxidise and go brown. They arent actually bad necessarily, just look 'orrible. Put a drop of lemon juice in - that should do the trick!

It doesn't matter what it looks like, Millie won't mind.

Same thing happened to some Avocado I froze for Maia, she thinks it tastes good though!

If you don't already know just a tip to avoid getting banana on her clothes - it stains and goes all black and horrid (looks like mould!) if you don't wash it off immediately
