Do you buy each other expensive gifts,not bother at all or just get something cheap and meaningful?

I've got dh a new winter hat,some combats for coaching in and a exercise bench x

As money is so tight we have agreed on a £10 main pres limit and a stocking for each other. xx

We are going on holiday in march so just spending about £25 on eachother. Putting the rest towards our holiday

We usually spend £100 on each other but have said £50 this year as LO more important! I've got him a wallet, football jacket and a 'worlds best daddy' calendar with picks of LO and the cat lol xx

I've bought him 2 Xbox games (one of which he has already 'checked to see if it works' and as its our 6 month wedding anniversary on Christmas day I'll get him something he doesn't know about x usually we just tell each other what to buy! Lol x Easter is our big celebration so we go all out then x

I've got OH a new trumpet case that will fit 3 instruments (we gig a lot so it can carry mine too lol) 2 Ps3 games (he's already opened cod3 though) tickets to see Deren brown in April, a book and some polo shirts.

We don't normally spend that much, but we missed our five year anniversary as we were preparing for LOs arrival, so we decided we would do a bigger Christmas this year instead xx

If I can afford it, I might get him a set of mutes for his trumpets xxx and I'll prob chuck some socks in too cause he's forever losing them x

I bought him a beer fridge, some DVDs and some clothes (even though 'clothes don't count'! Yes they do, he's getting them, and he'd better look pleased, LOL!)

I have bought him a watch from me and the bump, paul smith aftershave, alan carr dvd and a baby book. Didnt plan to spend that much but he is such an angel that I really thought he deserved it and also as im giving up work he wont get good presents again!! Lol!!

so ive spent £250. but we normally dont spend that much, just we have more money this year and i feel like treating him! (plus he will spend that on me! hehe) and they only thing i know im getting is a exercise bike. (which i asked for)
