Anyone done it?
Know anyone who has done it?
Would you do it?

I wouldnt dream of going for the early CVS (Taking a sample of the placenta 12-14 weeks) But the 16 weeks + Amniocentis, If done at the same time as a downs test..?

I have no doubt who the father of Splodge is. But the father is denying that it is his, so DNA needs to be done. Preferably sooner rather than later due to family issues.

Hiya, sorry ur goin thru this, afraid I can't help. The earliest I've known any1 do a DNA test was after baby was born xxx

Tbh I wouldn't do anything unnessarily risky just to ease some mans insecurities :eh:

Obviously if its something you want to do yourself then why would it be such a big deal to wait until bubs is born?

No idea when it can be done, but if i were in your position I would definately wait until bubs is born, i wouldnt want to risk harming baby. Hope you sort it all out xxx

Yeah, I am very wary of amniocentis anyway, But wanted to look at it as an option, Because its very rocky rivers at the moment until this is done.

Its not simply for his insecurities, or my wishing to prove him wrong. He knows for a fact that it is his, As do I, but is denying even sleeping with me in the first place as he doesnt want his new girl to know he did it.

As such.. He wont be on the birth certificate, And I cant pull him for child support without proof. It also means three families are pulled into turmoil, I have already recieved threats.

DNA is the easy way to solve the whole issue. But yes I will probably wait, Unless I come back high risk for downs, and can have them done in the same sitting.

I'd claim child support as soon as baby is born,if he denies he's the father then it's up to him to prove he's not which includes him payin 4 DNA testing, they can force him to pay unless he can prove he's not the father xxx

Does that still apply even if he isnt on the birth certificate?

If you apply for csa immediatly and explain your situation then they should grant the testing regardless of if he's on the birth certificate or not. I'd contact them now just to get all the info! Also aren't you married to this man? Surely hannah has to know you guys slept together and also you've been round to her house, why wasn't this brought up then? Grrrrr some men!!!!!

gosh the father of your baby sounds like a numpty!! no offence, lol! but what's the point in denying it. it happend he should accept it!

i don't really have anything to offer here but didn't just want to read and run. hope you get it sorted and that his family back off. some people are just so nasty i don't understand why!

don't get too stressed over it hun, well you might not be, but i know i'd be over obsessing over it!

hope all turns out ok xxxxx

Hiya,
god it must be so stressful for you, i hope you sort things! i think you can do a dna screening for that time, but if i were you id try not to worry and try and wait if you can, it must be really hard for you. x

Hun as soon as I'd registered Jacob without his fathers name on the birth certificate, he disputed paternity to them. So a DNA test was carried out and he had to pay for it once he was proved to be the father there was never any doubts anyway. Would of loved to of seen his face when he got the results

can't you just wait to get the birth certificate (I don't know how it works but where I live in the Netherlands) you have 3 days to get the birth certificate. If the DNA test could have been done before that (don't know how long such a test will take) he cannot decide that he doens't want to be stated as the dad (if the test proves his is obviously).

id not go for that type of testing personally once baby here is soon enough you could have a test kit ready for when its born
