Pregnant quickly after mc

Well after all my worries trying to conceive my first aged 40, early menopause of my mum at 43 terrifying me...I got pregnant ...only to lose it at nearly 10 weeks -an anembryonic pregnancy in August. I was told to get back on the horse by gp, consultant , nurses first cycle, so we did. And the best possible thing has happened. My dream of the 12 week scan by Christmas etc has come true. Positive test this morning, period due Sunday but thought oh I'll start testing today, not expecting anything !!!! I dont know how I feel Im happy but numb, scared, excited, dont want to let myself get into the pregnancy for a while, what if I MC again.. ? 2nd line on test is paler than the test line but its there quite prominently. Oh my.... This is madness. I never thought it would work 1st cycle maybe all the stuff I have been reading about fertility after mc is true.?
My symptoms have been cramps backache bloating like a beachball and generally feeling like period is coming, and dry down there just a little creamy white cm when check internally.. The good thing is actually my 2ww has flown and Ive coincidentally been off work doing nice things. I live in the NE and was in London this week shopping and having a nice stroll around. Very tiring but fun. Its strange subconsciously the clothes Ive bought are quite stretchy and I think will be ok for maternity.. Omg Im getting ahead of myself... Breathe.
So congrats and best of luck to everyone else. I'm not religious but please say prayers for my 9months coming, infact I just need to get to the 12 week scan in mid December hitch free.

Congratulations !!

So excited for you! I MC on 30th September at 14+3 and we're TTC again as it took 4 years for the BFP to come around.

Congratulations, am in a similar position after getting pregnant for the 1st time age 43, unfortunately I miscarried at about 6 weeks on the 23rd sep. I was going to docs as soon as cycle got back to normal for further bloods but having to put on hold as took 2 hpt this weekend both bfp! Scared, shocked and unsure what may happen but everything crossed for us both x

I saw gp today. She was lovely but is matter of fact and although very positive, now the thought of another miscarriage is rattling around in my head . Sigh... Its all a bit more real now... 3 weeks til I see midwife and then another month after that to the 12w point. Praying it flies over. I hope its ok otherwise that's Christmas ruined for family. Its all hit me a bit today. Im thinking how will I cope with another miscarriage? Why am I torturing myself?
I need to cheer up im PREGNANT for goodness sake. Its the waiting. Ill perk up tomorrow...

I got pregnant with my daughter the first cycle after a mmc and was terrified. Evended up paying for a private scan at 7 weeks to put my mind at rest.. Best £100 I've ever spent!! She's now a very happy 20m old. I then had another loss in Devember and am pregnant again two months later.. Hopefully this time is the last time!! Good luck xxx
