So there's been a few threads throughout the years on this subject and just wanted to hear any success stories. I've been taking them for the past 3 months and haven't experienced any side effects like some have. Basically I was convinced to try them as a friend fell pregnant on them after a really short time taking them after 18 months of ttc. I'm hoping they work good for me too. There is a lot of bad things said about these tablets but some good too. Who found them good?

I swear by them I fell pregnant after 2 months with both my boys after taking pregnacare but I took the ones with a separate omega 3 capsule. Pregnacare plus omega 3 I think it's called. These are for during pregnancy and are more expensive than the conception ones but I found they worked best. These have woked both for me and friends x

Hi hun. I took pregnacare for a couple of months. They did make me feel very sick but i continued. Had no luck so i swapped to seven seas. I didnt even complete my first pack and i fell pregnant :) xx

Also they arr a lot easier to take.. they are tiny!!

I take seven seas I think they are fab.. They stopped me spotting before af x x x x

I've used sainsburys own and thought they were excellent. Conceived my little boy first proper month trying

I've bought seven sea's ready for a few months before we start trying, as I've heard very good things about them. Very sad but I'm excited about taking them, I think it will make the fact that we're going to start trying seem a lot more real.

Also fiancé is a chemist and when he looked up what they had in them he said they should be good for my hair and skin as well, so bonus there just before the wedding ;)

I've just been taking folic acid - and my hair and skin look better plus my nails seem so much stronger!! Coincidence???

I think folic acid can make your hair stronger... in fact it is in my hair, skin and nail tablets I used to take-so must be good for all three

Helloo  just thought I'd join in

I am on cycle 2 of TTC and last month went and bought some of the pregnacare with oil capsules just incase (I used these all of last pregnancy everyday)...it was BFN last month but I wasn't really monitoring Ovulation or anything. Now I'm taking seven seas one and I have to say it's much less noticeable just a nice little pink pill..

Last pregnancy I took the pregnacare ones through-out and although the oil capsules repeat on you and that tastes rank! ... for that reason I would strongly recommend you take them with food! I had a perfect little girl one totally healthy and (touch wood) she is 20 months now and hasn't been properly ill once! Obvs this is mainly to do with us doing everything we can to ensure she is a healthy little poppet now and apologies I haven't got another one to compare her to yet but I'm sure during her development pregnacare helped loads. There are just certain things we don't get enough of in our diets - omega 3s, folic acid, etc

Sevens seas trying for a baby on offer on Amazon at the moment. £3.75 xx

Thanks ks lisa1985, I've just ordered some for when I've finished up my pregnacare conception tablets. I used them when trying for my little boy but find they make me feel quite sick in the mornings & I struggle taking g such big tablets when I feel like that. Seven seas sound perfect for me!

This thread has encouraged me to try the seven seas trying to concieve tablets - they are a really good size way easier to take than my regular multivitamins. Fingers crossed for us all!

Hi there, I'm glad to hear these success stories and that there are more people that I can talk to about this!
My fiancée and I have been trying to conceive since we got engaged on 9th July 2013. I was taking pregnacare with absolutely no luck. I thought I would stick to them as it does take time for the vitamins to build up in your system but they didn't even help to regulate my hormones or anything! So I've just bought two packets of the seven seas trying for a baby which will be here on the 2nd. I am so excited with these stories!
It's especially difficult right now as my fiancées cousin has just had her first child, while using contraception no less! We saw her for the first time two nights ago and she is so tiny and beautiful and when I saw my fiancée hold her it nearly broke my heart! He said he felt whole holding a baby and in the photo I took he looks unbelievably happy. I, as woman, really do want to give him the child he's been dreaming of and wanting for so long. I've wanted kids since I was 14, so hopefully these pills do the trick!

Hi Broody

You do need to be taking a conception multivitamin but they will only provide you with all the vitamins you need and won't necessarily get you pregnant.

You have been TTC for over 2 years now. They say it can take a healthy couple up to a year. Have you been to your GP yet? They can refer you to the fertility clinic and do tests to check for (and rule out) any underlying issues.

Good luck xx

Hiya.
We are currently on our 3rd cycle ttc the first 2 ended in BFN so at the start of the 3rd cycle I bought some of the pregnacare conception tablets and so far I haven't had any side affects and yesterday and today I have had faint lines on 3 tests!!! Fingers crossed for a BFP!! Good luck everyone xx

Hi Phonix,
I have spoken to my GP and all he said was that it's probably my body still getting used to not being on the pill anymore. I am going to try and get blood tests soon but all my symptoms (irregular periods etc) points to POS atm, but that's just with me researching different things that can prevent pregnancy. I red on the box of the seven seas that they help regulate a hormone imbalance so I'm hoping it helps.

It is possible, but I got fobbed off by my GP for years before finally getting diagnosed with PCOS this year.

If you do suspect PCOS, I recommend inositol and/or chromium supplements as they were the only things that helped me before my diagnosis. Good luck. Xx
