Went to see kidney specialist today and found out due to long term health issues have a ONE IN THREE chance of pre-eclampsia.

Have to be monitored every week and will be whipped in (and LO whipped out!) at first sign of any problems.

It's all a bit scary really.......... :(

has anyone else delivered early because of this?? Or can share any stories/info?

www hun im sorry to hear that
i dont have any experiance but i just wanted to say look after urself and try to rest as much as poss

Thanks Sarah, I will do. have already decided to go on leave a little earlier, and am lucky enough to have support at home.

The odds are still against it, hope I'm worrying over nothing :?

puffy ankles, spots in front of eyes, high blood pressure.....

Think I know, but hoping the docs will spot anything out of the ordinary!

There's no better excuse to take it easy, is there? And with the sun shining and the world cup on, think it's only right to put my feet up! :D

Hope everything goes okie for you hun, fingers crossed that you'll be in the 2in 3 chance of not getting it!

If i had those but couldnt see my midwife till thursday, what would your advice be? my sister had eclampsia and they say you and the baby can die from it. she to;d me she thought i looked as tho i was suffering from pre-eclampsia but when i went to MW the other day they said that my blood pressure wasnt that high, but my swollen feet havent gone down for days now and my fingers are very swollen too.

any advice?

I've also got the swollen feet and hands Littlemoo. I think it's down to the heat though. Mine were massive when I was in Ibiza, but then went down a bit back home, now are big again because of the heatwave. If I were you, I would still get it checked out by gp or hospital though. I called the midwife line a couple of weeks ago because of this, and they told me to get straight to the hospital to get it checked out. Luckily, all was well.

aaww what a worry for you i hope everything goes perfect for you and your bubby.
