I think it was about 3 months with Lucy - she started being too nosey and wanting to sit up a bit so we changed it. She suddenly liked being in the pushchair much better after that!
Lil miss was just a tiddler until recently.... she was only 5.lb 12oz when she was born and has gained weight on her scale steadily, so there was no rush to move her into pushchair.
My pram says not to use the pushchair until she is 6 months or able to sit on her own. However it does lie completely flat - I would have used it earlier, but the harness was too big last time I tried her in it.
She grew out of the carrycot and I didn't want to keep taking her in the car seat, so we bought another buggy. We got a Maclaren Quest Mod, its great as a second buggy. She's been in that since just before she was 3 months
I am hoping to use the other buggy as a pushchair around 5 or so months, she's pretty strong so hopefully she might be sitting soon as well!
I have a Silvercross one which you can put the car seat onto the pram frame which is what I'm doing now as it allow Emms to look out more and she was outgrowing the pram. This seems to be a good inbetween solution. I think it is advised that you wait until full headcontrol before using a push chair, unless you have a head support.
Mine reclines almost fully so we've been using it as this from 3 months when she outgrew the carrycot. I also bought a M&P Ziko buggy which I prefer now (it also almost fully reclines) as it is much lighter than the Graco one. Apparently the Ziko is suitable from birth but I certainly wouldn't put a newborn in it!
I alternate. I have a Babystyle pram that can change to a pushchair, and a Graco travel system. She loves laying in the pram but it's quite heavy. So i have the travel system in the car. It's so so light and i have it slightly sat up as she is so nosey. The pram is so relaxing. She's almost outgrown it so will be changing it over soon. It lays flat and the hood of the pram goes on it too.
3 months and 1 week (last week) and we had no choice either as she was too long for the pram.
Anyway she LOVES buggy mode she never cries in the buggy cos there's too much to look at! Plus the 3D has lie-flat mode anyway so she can lie down if she dozes off.
They look tiny in the buggy bit to begin with though, it's hilarious.
