Anyone else have problems?!

My post man put birthday cards addressed to me through our next door naibours last month. While through that month we kept getting other peoples mail.. (our street just wrong houses)

Then i bought a leather coat online. It never came. And no notice (flyer thing) that they put through the door to let you know they couldnt deliver it. So i went to the post office (which is bloody miles away from me btw) and after a massive moan to them they eventually went to have a look if it was there. And yet it was.

My OH had an expensive chain sent down from glasgow. It never arrived, again no card through the door. We had a 'tracking' number and we discovered it was at a post office in a completly different part of liverpool. And because we didnt have a 'failed delivery' card they wouldnt give us it, so it ended up getting sent back to glasgow FFS.

Then yesterday i was expecting a delivery and saw my post man go past, to next door holding a package, starts knocking on thier door. I just knew the package was for me so went outside and asked him. Yep it was mine. MY NUMBER ON THE PACKAGE. (i wouldnt mind but next door dont have a number on thier door WE DO.

We have a complete twonk for a postman. He's doing my head in. Im waiting on another 2 deliverys this week... wounder where they will end up.

sorry just had to let it out

Royal mail are so useless! We used to have our post chucked over the gate onto the drive rather than through the letter box and also recently i have tried to send some shoes back as they were to big and the card said where they were to be posted to and the delivered them back to me!!! i could go on but i would be here for hours.

i hate royal mail. my mum and nan sent birthday cards to my OH the one from my nan arrived but the one from my mum which had next vouchers in didnt so they obviously pinched it!

Our postman is lovely. If he is bringing a parcel and i don't answer he will take it to my auntie's around the corner so i don't have to mess around going to the main post office :)

ours just leaves parcels on the door step even if its raining  but he doesnt put a card through or even ring the bell to see if were actually in :wall:

Can you not have big things sent via courier rather than the Royal Mail? I tend to use Parcelforce or one of those over the normal post option when I order stuff.

I'd write a complaint to the Post Office about the mail being delivered to the wrong address on numerous occasions and that it is still ongoing. And that the wrong post is coming to you. Its just crappy on their part and the postie should be getting it right by now.

our postman are useless down here in essex too.

i get my morning post at 2pm mine postmen are just lazy sods :x

You do realise they start work at 5:30/6am to sort the mail first 0- your mail could be late because someone is sick meaning the other posties have to also do thier rounds too.

No excuses for constantly getting things wrong but they do make mistakes sometimes and they work long hard hours in all weathers.

I feel sorry for postmen and the company sometimes

Can you imagine how many letters and packages get sent every day...

They are responsible for all of them

My postman is a dude. He always stops and says hi and asks after the kids! He'll have a warm for a few mins in the winter, my nearest neighbour gives him soup in a thermos!!!
He'll put my mail on the kitchen table and sign for stuff if I'm out or in bed after a night shift. He's lovely!!

I did get a christmas card the other day postmarked 20th Dec though....

Ours turned up at 5:30pm the past few days, but as we're all out until 4 anyway it doesnt matter much.
Post has been unbeleivably quick recently as well, i ordered soemthing at 2pm one day got it 5:30 the next.
Having said that they have left packages around the back that have been stolen and are usually very slow with mail.
My friend is a post man and he's up SO early but he loves the job! He's a post man who will do everything he can to let you know he's there if you have a parcel (ours rings once then leaves, even if i hear it half the time he's gone by the time i get there) BUT he does hear about the crap postmen and there was one in bristol recently who couldnt be bothered to take the undelivered post back so flushed it down the loo of the depo!! Obviouslt the boss found it, found the dates and area and tracked it back to him (what a tit)

They are getting worse i think - i posted 2 items i sold on ebay last Tuesday 1st Class, i got a message from 1 of the buyers on Friday asking if i had posted it, i explained i had blah blah, and it finally turned up on Saturday - 5 days after posting it 1st class, but yet the other item i posted the same day and time got there the next day :wall:

My postman was held up during the Troubles so now he twitches loads and doesn't really talk normally. I think this causes the ladies of the area to take pity on him because he does tend to spend an inordinately long time in some houses  Our post arrives any time between 2pm-7pm and has been known on more than one occasion to arrive around 9-10  but we don't mind as long as it gets there eventually

We live in a flat and I have to buzz the postman in each morning..but I suppose it's not his fault that he can't get in..just annoying when I have to get out of bed, and with my hips it takes 2 or 3 minutes
