i took some pictures y'day of something i thought was artistically beautiful in a non-conventional way. im REALLY not being pretentious honestly, i dont say i like a load of rubbish just to appear quirky!
it's buildings i see this beauty in- buildings which are burned out, or delapidated, or whatever. the best place for seeing stuff like this is a place near where i used to live in the city centre called ancoats. there's like an industrial estate or something and it looks long disused, the deterioration is kind of enchanting (i hope some folk are kinda getting what i mean, and not just thinking im silly!) u kno so when u look at it u feel like ur in a futuristic post-atomic world war or something, and everything is ghostly and destroyed! lol well i think its pretty anyway!
something a bit like this pic i took today on the way back from blockbuster, its not the best example ever, but the town i live in now isnt quite as extreme as we're far out really but here:
i love the way the bricks look all old and they are higgledy piggledy down where some wall mustve broken off, i love all the wild plants taking over and i love that post which i assume held a gate, how its stood on its own and is leaning a bit. it looks like a house u expect to see in a childrens fairy-tale book! (which are my favourite books!)
im hoping people will add to this thread so i dont feel like a twit hehe!
