Post natal check

I have my post natal check this week at the doctors,what do they do??I'm curious to know if they give you an internal or such like,because I don't think I can face any more poking and prodding! Any help would be great.

they will just check to see if you womb has gone down to where it should be, you shouldnt get an internal now i dont think as i never got one. At your 6 week check your supposd to get a smear test done. I didnt make the appointment and i really should get it done but just hate it so much and i had one just before i fell pg with colby and dread going for them every time its due

I think they talk to you bout contraception aswell and whatyour options are take care hunand hope you get on ok

i had a chat and got asked if i feel ok down their i said yes so she said i wouldn't give you an internal then

My 6 weeks check was more about my son. They did loads of checks on him and just asked me if I felt ok and what contraceptive I wanted. They didn't check to see if my womb had gone down. Also asked if I had a period or not.

Mine was a waste of time, think I got the GP just out of medical school, he didn't have a clue!!

Asked if I was ok, was I still bleeding and what did I want to do about contraception?!!

I like Dionne was not expectinmg an internal then guess what.. oh by the way take off clothing waste down and the doc will be in soon for your smear was not happy.
Guess every doctor is different?
