POAS addicts how early?

Is too early? I know frer are about the most sensitive around and they say from 6 days before missed period.

I'm probably setting myself up for a fall but Xmas day would be 6 days before I'm due AF and I'm just debating whether I risk testing. Would be so amazing to have a Xmas BFP. We are spending Xmas with my mum and dad away who don't live locally so will have to decide beforehand whether to take a test with me or not.

Advice ladies?!?!

I'd be inclined to wait a few more days, only because how disappointing that negative result is! When are you off to spend Christmas with your family, what's the last day you can test without them around?

I'm testing on Friday so if you want a partner to keep you sane for the next few days, I will be around!

Thanks eleven. We are still DTD next couple days just in case. I think from opk I have ovulated over last 24/48 hours. But it's fiest month I've used them properly so I'm not 100%

We drive down Xmas eve night. So Xmas eve morning would be last chance. That would be 7 days before AF due. I had told myself I would wait until NYE but I'm just kidding myself lol don't think I can hold out that long.

Don't was the negative crush but the thought of a Xmas BFP makes the risk appealing x

If you have only ovulated in the past 24-48 hours definitely don't test yet, as it will 100% be negative. You will need to add another week past ovulation for implantation to occur, which will likely take you to Christmas, and a handful days afterwards to get a positive test.

Assuming you ovulated 48 hours ago, you might be okay to test on Christmas Day. Completely depends on when implantation occurs. The above link should hopefully help, brings up useful information like this.

Looks like I'll stick with original plan of NYE. Although might be soul destroying if BFN as will literslly be last chance of 2017. Gonna squeeze in couple more just in case BD tonight and tomorrow at least x

I don't test early so I'm probably not the best person to comment on this haha. I wouldn't test early on Xmas day as I wouldn't want a BFN spoiling my day. If you get a BFP a few days later, you're really not going to care what day it is!!

Probably sounds like the best plan, hopefully an extra special New Years will be in order!

Thanks TT it is sorely tempting to test. Xmas day will be CD 22 and I'm usually 28/29 day cycle when I haven't had a weird long one thrown in so it will be right on the barrier. I confided in hubby last night.....i don't usually tell him when I'm testing. Just after results but he said he would prefer to wait as it would spoil Xmas for him if it's negative.

Doesn't stop the little person inside my head telling me I could test anyway and not tell him if it's negative lol

Thinking I'll try and hang on to NYE and go for the NY happy BFP if we get one. But on the other hand a test might sneak it's way into my bag just in case......

Hold out honey.... (easier said than done) just enjoy Christmas for what it is and then hopefully you will get your BFP a few days later
