as i am in college i am working in a placement for my course, once a week. in
health and social care, and i have to work with old people as i have already worked with young children,
i got my risk assesment letter from my placement provider,
and it said in there that i have a chance of catching different things such as rubella and chickpox, i wasnt too concerned about them until it read slap cheek(parvovirus) i am VERY worried because my friend was 16 weeks pregnant when she lost her baby becasue she caught this.
im not quite sure if i want to carry on doing the placement if theres a risk of it, but i think i can get chucked off my course. but obviously the health of my baby comes first.
but i can have a blood test to see if i have had it in the past and if i had then i will be alright to work there.

what do you think i should do..

i wud speak to someone at your college and your midwife or GP, see what they say. im sure they cant chuck you off if its dangerous for your baby. see what they recommend they will know best. hope it works out hun, keep us informed. xxxxxxx
