Has anyone else been watching this?

Think I may be hormonally pg as the polar bear dying and the baby penguins in the blizzard storm made me cry

it was really emotional, esp cos the problems that polar bear had was because of us

amazing program!! I loved the penguins

so did I , the cute little one who got stuck down the hole during the storm :(

In regard to the polar bears though, it is due to us isn't it.

I was listening yesterday to an interview on radio 1 with one of the producers and she was saying that it's due to what we've done to the world that has made things so difficult for them.

Polar bears aren't supposed to have to drown and swim for food, the worlds been wrecked by us and we're killing off these poor animals :(

i know, it's so awful. :wall:

how cute were the penguins when they were all reunited and shouting for each other and the mammy penguin was looking down at her little chick! x

I shouldn't watch it as I cry so easily at these things

I'm an emotional wreck at the best of times, now I have a box of tissues next to the sofa!

I love Planet Earth have just pre ordered the 5 disc dvd boxset of the first series for my hubby for xmas. We watched it last night and were both amazed again! Cost me £27 so I'm pleased! :D

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

I've just gone to watch this and the Sky+ failed and it only recorded the first 14 minutes. :(

Does anyone know if it's repeated on any of the other bbc channels at any time in the week?

my mum was telling me today how she saw 30 lions attack a little elephant. apparantly there has been a public outcry about it -

yeh, some of the scenes are really rare and graphic.

i was falling asleep through it last night - i'm so wrecked these days!!
thank goodness for sky+ haha

Oooo I missed it last night but lucky for me my dh has a hard drive dvd recorder and I can watch it later :cheer:

yeah it upset my mum but like she said - its nature.

aw thanks

usually I'm quite hard but at the mo, I'm a blubbering wreck.

The camera men who actually filmed it were quite upset by it too, they show video diaries at the end of the programme. It showed them following the lion pack and then they caught the attack.

they were happy to get nature as it is but still didn't feel right witnessing it.

One good point though they said this kind of attack is quite rare :)

yes thats what my mum said. she said they rarely attack lions. Im glad i didn't see it. i would have cried too.
