Went to see consultant today. All is well with the bean :cheer:
It took her ages to find the baby hb...Apparently my after birth is in front just under my belly button.
Anyone have any ideas what that means I'm clueless :D

My placenta wan in front with my son, it is totally normal but it can mean you feel movement a little later and a little less than if it was at the back

Hi its common ive got it too and the mw & doctors says it ok but just means you'll not feel strong movements from the baby as you would do if the placenta was lying after the baby.

Glad all was well with the baby

Yep my placenta was at the front too. I didnt feel any definate baby movements until i was around 20 weeks because it cushioned the kicks.

It's called Anterior placenta, which means its in front of the baby i.e. between your front and baby. Posterior Placenta is opposite side, so at the back between your back and baby. Then there is the placenta pravia which means it is low down in the uterus and sometimes it can be blocking the opening meaning ladies having to have a c-section.

So you have Anterior, like me! Very common, and like others say i think it can cushion some of the movements so they don't feel as strong so early on.
