pirate DVD's v's cinema ticket prices

agree 100% its a rip off. id rather wait for it to be released.

dwnloading is alright, but takes so long, then it might not work

We have the choice of two cinema's given were kinda in the middle....

Towards Brighton it's £6.50 per ticket.
Towards London it's £9.80 per ticket.

When you can wait a week and buy the DVD for around £15 why would you pay £20 to go (as a couple) to see the movie!! DH and I haven't been in years, no wonder really.

We sometimes pay £3.50 for the family to watch something via Sky Box Office but really when we have over 1,000 channels anyway it seems pointless paying cinema prices. We'll take LO in a few years I'm sure but it won't be a frequent thing that's for certain.

can i just say that the reason that the drinks and food from thecinema is expensive is because only a very very small percentage of the ticket sales goes to the cinema company itself (the majority goes to the filmakers etc) so they have to make a profit from somewhere and so they get the majority of their money from the food and drinks.
