Hi Girls,

I think I might have piles  Ive not had them before so not really sure!! I wont go into too much detail - the "area" (!) is quite irritated - really sorry! I was wondering if anyone else has had them and what they used. I dont want to wait to get a docs appointment, I just wanna go and buy some stuff. Any advice?

i had them and from what you describe is quite similar to what i had. i used anusol supps and cream but unfortunatley didnt work for me as i had them really bad so ended up going to the docs and getting some steroid supps which were great and cleared up in no time

I recommend the ones you have to stick up your bum! they give you reliefr really quickly andi think its germaloids i use and there medicated and really do work!

I used the anusol cream- after 2 applications my bottom felt a lot better lol

Im glad you posted this....... not saying im glad you've get them ..

But mine too is on fire... gonna have to make an appointment at the docs!! :(

I always thought I had piles but never did apparently, there are internal and external kinds, my friend had them externally and they were very painful, she'd just have lots of baths to ease them, and then use Anusol, and although she said it stung like mad, it really helped
You should be able to get free meds for it rom your GP too :)

I had them when I was pregnant and they got so painful in my third tri. My doctor gave me some cream for them but said that they wouldn't clear up until the baby arrived as it's the pressure from the baby that causes them.
They've gone now, thank God, but they were AGONY so I sympathise. Get to your doctor and get him to prescribe something to help with the pain. Lucyx

I've got them too :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon:

I've never had them before now and I hate them!

I've got an external one, but luckily there's no pain or itchiness.

I've got external ones too. Think that they appeared towards the end of the 2nd trimester. My m/w gave me anuol cream; it helped for a while but they came back. Now they seem to be on and off - she told me they wouldn't dissapear before the birth... :( They don't seem to be connected to anything: i don't have any problems with constipation what so ever, eat a lot of fruit, veg and similar fibre full food, walk a lot...And I still have them!
