Right well i got a new nose stud on weds i think it was, and when i tried putting it in i had a load of trouble and have ended up making it really sore, its still hurting now and i wish i hadnt changed it, its a sterling silver one so surly it not because of that, what can i use to make it healo properly, im using salt water atm but i dont thuink i can use aniseptic cream while pg, any ideas would be great x

Nose pericing heal very quickly so I would get something through it asap before it closes to much, carry on with the salt water but go and get some propper stuff from a peircing shop.

I can remember just how much mine hurt "ouch"

EDIT: think I read wrong, you already got it through right?
Its bound to be sore hun but you may also be sensitive to fake stuff.
Also they can get infected easily so its good your on top of it now.
If it was fine with the gold then find someone with that hun.

How it settles down hun,

Claire's accessories sells bottles of ear antiseptic that is really mild which might be useful.

Yeps I'd had mine done for several years. Took it out to clean it and released I didn't have the stuff, after a couple of weeks of putting off going in to town it healed up. :(

I usually use surgical spirits for cleaning and keeping on top of amy possible infection, but the local chemists have stopped selling it. TCP or Dettol should work just as well.

Not sure about if you can use any of these during pregnancy, I'd ask the chemist to be safe.

Thanks guys, i deffo dont wana take it out but i dont want it to be like this for a long time, i dont want my body fighting an infection like that when it should be working on growing bubs, i was concidering putting my gold one back in tbh, i know it would heal ok with that one in x

Yes put it back in untill its healed and baby is here then get one of the same gold type hun.
I can imagine it feels overly bruised.

Good luck

just put my gold one back in with some ease, looked at the silver one and it seems part of the siver has come away and has left what looks like a darker metal under neith, obviously platd and not proper silver, no wonder it was killing me :wall:

1/4 teaspoon of salt in a mug of hot water, bathe it morning and evening until it's feeling better.
i wouldn't go near the claires stuff, it would probably make it worse. and surgical spirits aren't good either, nor TCP they are both way to harsh. the dettol you can get for wounds etc. you can use, just water it down ALOT.

chamomile tea bags are also good, mug of water put the tea bag in, take it out after a few minutes then let it cool; wait until its warm and use it to bathe the outside of your nose. it'll help calm it (: you might also get a bit of a 'bump' on it as well where it's been irritated, the chamomile tea bags are really good for treating these.

sterling silver is a no-no in piercings to be honest, like you said, it can flake and the 'silver' rub off. it's bound to upset your nose each and every time.

i'd stick with the gold like you said you have or titanium.
claires jewellery isn't really that good either.

nose piercings can take forever to heal, and even when you think they're healed it can turn out they aren't! they're notorious for playing up for no reason aswell.

i've had quite a few piercings(plan to get quite a few more); i'm not trying to sound big headed or bossy just trying to help (:

Well it already feels miles better today, not half as sore, im gonna stick with my gold stud from now on, no nmore silver for me, thanks for all the advise

loads of people cant wear silver..their bodies reject it which makes the area sore just like wearing cheap earings.. keep the gold one in hun xx

yeah im gonna now, cant cope with the annoying pain, especially as i blow my nose so much, feels so much better today :cheer:
